ROTARY CLUB OF MONTECITO
2011-2012
WHAT'S MONTECITO ROTARY CLUB ?
The Montecito Rotary Club is a part of the worldwide membership of business and professional men and women who meet every week to serve and to network. Montecito Rotary meets every Tuesday from noon to 1:30 pm at the Montecito Country Club in Montecito. We are part of Rotary District 5240, which includes a portion of the central part of the State of California. District 5240 begins at the Pacific Ocean on its southwest border and runs east across the Tehachapi and Sierra Nevada Mountain ranges to our eastern-most border at Death Valley National Park. It encompasses the counties of Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura and a small portion of Los Angeles County.
There are currently 71 Rotary Clubs in District 5240, with approximately 3,850 members. The local clubs are Carpinteria, Carpinteria Morning, Goleta Evening, Goleta Noon, Montecito, Santa Barbara Downtown, Santa Barbara North, and Santa Barbara Sunrise. The District 5240 webpage is: www.rotarydistrict5240.org . The Montecito Rotary Club webpage is: www.montecitorotary.org . The monthly publication of Rotary International is called: “The Rotarian,” which is available at: http://rotary.org/en/MediaAndNews/TheRotarian/Pages/ridefault.aspx
Every year the club breathes new life into it’s mission of service by electing a new Club President, Officers and Board to lead the membership. This year, in 2011-12, our president is Carolyn Brown, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara.
To learn more about how you might become a part of this fun, dynamic and worthwhile organization please contact us.
