Greg Hart gave us an in depth picture of what still has to be done on Highway 101. And upwards of $400 million is needed to do it, with a commuter lane to the Rincon, more commuter buses, and improved rail service to cut down on peak hour car trips. But the Measure A funds -successor to Measure D—should raise $1B over the next decade, he says.
We will have new Sheriff Bill Brown—also our Coroner—next week, and Deborah says he cannot make the lunch because of a press conference, but has graciously agreed to rush over when done to keep his appointment as our speaker. So we hope for a good attendance!
Also, I was corrected by Sheryl Barnard on the need to have a Sept. 21 meeting, since Starry Nights on Wednesday Sept. 22 is for those lucky 25 who signed up for the box dinner with the stars—at the Four Seasons meadow. And Sheryl has come to the rescue with the speaker for September, Sue Burrows!
